Gregg A, McCort was appointed Executive Director-President of REAP on August 14, 2009 succeeding founder and past Executive Director Mike Bush who will serve as a senior mentor to the program. Mr. McCort brings six years of real estate training experience as well as an additional 18 years of real estate marketing experience to the position.
Mr. McCort was Director of Education for ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) from 2003 - 2009. He served as Director of Marketing for two major shopping center developers as well as Regional Director of Marketing for another concern. A graduate of Kent State University, he received a degree in communications and worked in the advertising field before joining the Richard E. Jacobs Group, one of the nation's largest shopping center developers, in 1984. During his shopping center career, Mr.McCort was responsible for over 70 regional shopping malls and supervised the opening of eight centers across the USA. He coordinated media, public relations and special events as well as broadcast and print production while building marketing teams both at the corporate and property levels.
Mr. McCort brings to REAP not only a background in commercial real estate but also experience in curriculum development, faculty procurement, program creation and fiscal management. He has facilitated and managed physical school programs in the United States, Russia, Turkey, China, India, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Mexico and in various locations throughout Europe and South America. He has served as a teacher in many of these venues and mentored young professionals in various phases of their real estate careers.
