Open Access Fellowship 2024

 

Fellowship Offer to REAP Alumni - Open Access Fellowship 2024
Application Round for
the 2024 Open Access Fellowship program is now open. The 2024 Fellowship will run from May to July 2024.

In conjunction with industry partners, Project REAP supports Open Access – an initiative on a mission to increase the representation of Black and Latinx professionals at all levels in the community development finance industry, including but not limited to New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Historic Tax Credits and the Energy/Renewables sector of tax credits financing.

Transformative Diversity Approach Unlike traditional initiatives, Open Access targets early to mid-career professionals to ensure sustained support, mentorship, and sponsorship. The goal is to train professionals at various levels who will become decision-makers, contributing to a more diverse and inclusive industry.

Comprehensive Learning Experience

The program includes:

  • 10+ hours of free online industry training, webinars, and Novogradac conference attendance

  • A 3-month, paid fellowship program

  • Networking opportunities

  • Access to permanent job placements

Metrics for Success
Successful participants will receive a certificate of training completion by Novogradac, 160 hours of paid internship ($25/hour), and potential job placements.


 

Requirements

Applicants must have a 4-year degree (or be a current graduating senior) from an accredited institution and must demonstrate an interest in community development finance.

Note:  Whether currently employed or transitioning, the fellowships offer flexible schedules.

 

​There is no fee to participate. Open Access has sole responsibility in the screening and selection of accepted fellows. The training and fellowships are scheduled to begin May 15, 2024.
