Project REAP Executive Director Taneshia Nash Laird was featured in the AFRO's October 11, 2025 article titled "The future of Black wealth: Reviving Black Wall Street," which examined modern approaches to building economic prosperity through strategic networks and partnerships. Nash Laird emphasized how Project REAP's nearly 30-year mission has created a powerful multiplier effect, with over 2,000 alumni generating thousands of housing opportunities and hundreds of jobs across the commercial real estate industry. "I believe Black Wall Street today is not only about rebuilding physical districts, but also building networks of ownership, partnership and deal flow," Nash Laird told the AFRO, highlighting the importance of trust, access, and alignment in creating sustainable economic impact. She shared examples of how REAP alumni leverage their professional networks to grow private equity funds and create cascading economic opportunities, demonstrating that success in commercial real estate is collective, not individual.
